I've built a vibrant and fulfilling performing and teaching music career spanning over 20 years.

I grew up in a small town in North Yorkshire and fell in love with music at an early age — singing at school and in the local church choir, learning piano, and composing from the age of 12.  I went on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music, where I earned a Master’s degree, followed by a teaching diploma from Queens' College, University of Cambridge.  I'm proud to be a Fellow of the Independent Society of Musicians

As a performer, teacher, and founder of the VivaVoices community choirs, I’ve been fortunate to share my passion for music with audiences throughout the region, as well as with my choir members and students.

When I'm not performing or teaching, I enjoy life in the beautiful Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds with my wonderful wife and our two sons.
